Running in parallel to in-person workshops at Sladebank Woods near Stroud in Gloucestershire, is this self-directed workshop which you can do anywhere. Each season we will be exploring place-based concepts of entanglements - the idea that humans and nature are intricately interwoven, shaping one another’s lives in ways both visible and unseen.
Through a combination of personal field trips (walks!), readings, experiential activities, and reflective exercises, you will seed new writing and be encouraged to grow and extend your initial ideas.
Everyone who comes on a Dialect workshop is warmly invited to submit their favourite piece of work for publication in our annual anthology.
For autumn, our prompts are on the equinox, radical mychology (don’t worry it’ll make sense when you get there!), a magic jar and sowing new seeds of writing to see you through the coming weeks and months.
This workshop series offers a unique space for a deeper appreciation of our interconnected nature and is open to writers working at any level and in any form.
How it works
After you have signed up to the workshop, you will be sent a reading pack with prompts and ideas to spark new writing. You can go at your own pace, doing all the prompts together in one go (up to 2 days' writing) or space them out over time - enjoy as you wish. The reading pack will be sent within 24 hours, probably sooner (this is to account for different time zones as the pack is sent manually).
Investment is a bargain at £22.50 - booking is below.
