The first of three summer woodland writing days dedicated to parents and caregivers, with forest school and a kids writing workshop included for children aged 6+
Join us at the magical Sladebank Woods Roundhouse in Stroud Gloucestershire, for:
Focused and structured writing time in the wooden round-house for parents and caregivers
Refreshments
Access to the Dialect ‘mobile library’ of books and resources
Discussion time with other writers
Forest school for children aged 6+
Kids’ writing workshop with poet and facilitator Al Hughes
Shared fireside supper at the end of the day
You might write poetry or fiction, be a campaigner or a student - or just want some time to think and connect with nature. You don’t even need to have written before - we will provide plenty of inspiration and support.
Tickets are available on a tiered basis, depending on financial circumstances
Oak Tree tickets provide you and your children with the full day of activities, while also paying it forward for others in the community
Holly Tree Family tickets are at a discounted rate for those for who are on a smaller income
Rowan Tree Family tickets are for those experiencing financial hardship, and require only a £10 deposit to reserve a space (refundable on the day).
Individual tickets are available for parents and caregivers who are attending without children.

Words in the Woods retreats are also running on Sunday September 8th and Saturday September 28th 2024.
